Murder in the Adirondacks: An American Tragedy Revisited, by Craig Brandon. Murder in the Adirondacks is a nonfiction account that inspired the other two fiction choices. An American Tragedy, by Theodore Dreiser and A Northern Light, by Jennifer Donnelly, a novel for young adults.
